Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Earthblood Drops Its First Hellish Trailer
Sink your teeth into the reveal of developer Cyanide's latest reveal trailer - Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Earthblood.
We first heard of Werewolf: The Apocalypse—Earthblood back in 2017 when Focus Home Interactive and developer Cyanide announced that they have partnered with White Wolf publishing to work on the video game adaption of World of Darkness – Werewolf: The Apocalypse. Since then, we know that Werewolf: The Apocalypse will be launching in 2020 and has switched to Bigben Interactive who will be undertaking the role as publisher and distributor for the game and now, we finally get to see a short sneak peek at what lays in store for us in the wolf-invested reveal trailer.
Werewolf: The Apocalypse—Earthblood, which is based on White Wolf Publishing’s tabletop role-playing game Werewolf: The Apocalypse, is set in the World of Darkness shared by the Vampire: The Masquerade games and even though we don’t know a huge amount about the game as yet, the trailer gives a good indication that it’s going to be rather tense, dark, and there are some really angry wolves – also the soundtrack that accompanies the trailer sets the mood nicely with Bones Exposed by metalcore band Of Mice & Men thrashing away in the background.
What we know so far is that Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood is an action RPG title in which players tail a werewolf called Cahal who has been banished from his lands for a long time and then decides to return to his endangered tribe. Endron, the oil-producing subsidiary of the multinational Pentex, is installing an extraction site and is destroying the forest around a sanctuary. As Cahal, you have the power to shapeshift when rage consumes you as you travel around the American Northwest. Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood carries over all the main aspects of the pen-and-paper game in which players will encounter current topics such as the destruction of nature by man and their machines and how rage, which is the core element of this game, will challenge players on learning how to control it in order to make the most of it.
The trailer, shown off at PDXCON, can be seen below and hopefully, we will get to see much more of this exciting title in the months to come. As of now, Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood is set to release next year for PC, Xbox One and PS4.
