Asymmetric released a brand new trailer for their stick figure RPG West of Loathing today that condenses 23 minutes of gameplay from the title's prologue into 37 seconds. Even if you watch the trailer at minimum speed on YouTube, it still moves super fast!

For those who may not know, West of Loathing is set in the same world as The Kingdom of Loathing, a browser-based multiplayer RPG from 2003. That being said, the developers describe their new game as a "single-player slapstick comedy adventure role-playing game set in the wild west."

While what's happening in the trailer is hard to make out, if you slow it down, you can make out some of what is happening. You can see the playable character make their way through the starting area, gaining XP by doing funny things like combing their hair, drinking at the local saloon, and exploring an early dungeon, which gives a brief glimpse at the title's inventory screen, some of the more interesting enemies, and West of Loathing's turn-based combat.

You can watch the short preview trailer and check out some screenshots of the game below. West of Loathing is set to release on PC, Mac, and Linux sometime this August.
