Shin Megami Tensei V features several dialogues choices, some more important than others - in particular, the protagonist at the beginning of the game is asked by Aogomi to take his hand, you can either do so or pick "nod".

Shin Megami Tensei V is one of the most anticipated Switch releases of all time, seeing it was one of the very first games announced on the console's full reveal in January 2017.

The choice you have when meeting Aogami is the first choice of the game. So you might be wondering if it's important. In particular, you might have in mind games like the Story of Seasons series which gets you directly to the end credits if you refuse to take over the farm. Or Shin Megami Tensei Devil Survivor 2, where you can choose to stay dead at the beginning of the game and get an immediate game over.

Shin Megami Tensei V: What happens if you pick "Nod" in the dialogue choice with Aogami

Actually, the same thing still happens, our protagonist simply nods first and then takes the hand of Aogami. Fusing the two together into the Nahobino. As far as we know at the moment it is one of the inconsequential choices of the game. And whether you picked directly "take his hand" or "nod" first doesn't change anything.

What Happens if You Nod to Aogami in Shin Megami Tensei V

Shin Megami Tensei V is available now on Switch. Note that the game was released two days earlier in Japan with the timezone difference, hence why you've seen some Japanese fans streaming or sharing screenshots on social media. Some fans around the world also got their physical copy shipped early. Atlus asked fans to properly tag spoilers.

Last but not least, a certain leak suggested Atlus and Sega could port Shin Megami Tensei V to PC in the long run. Similarly to how Persona 5 Strikers was released on Steam in the West alongside PS4 and Switch. However, no official announcement was made in that regard.
