Yusuke Murata directs a short One-Punch Man anime movie
Yusuke Murata shared through his Twitter account @Nebu_kuro on September 23 an awesome short One-Punch Man anime, made by Village Studio and directed by himself. (Thanks to Catsuka for pointing it out). The Short is titled “Go! Saitama” and features the hero trying to reach a supermarket before the end of a timed sale. Here’s Yusuke Murata’s message along with the short movie. We translated it below.
Yusuke Murata: “Hi everyone. The latest One Punch Man chapter in Tonari no Young Jump was delayed due to various reasons. Please wait for a bit longer. I also made stuff like this during my free time, please check it out.”
The original One-Punch Man manga is written and drawn by the same person, ONE. That version started in 2009 and it’s known as the Webtoon version. ONE is publishing it independatly. Later on in 2012, ONE got a serialization deal with Shueisha, and they got him Yusuke Murata, the artist of Eyeshield 21, to draw this new manga version for him. That’s what the anime is based on too.
Yusuke Murata is also the artist and character designer of Buddy Mission Bond, a Koei Tecmo and Nintendo project on Nintendo Switch that sadly has no localization in sight. We might see it on the September Nintendo Direct though.
What did you guys think of the short movie? Awesome right? You can always reach me on Twitter to chat more about anime @A_iyane07.
