The latest Pokemon GO event is well underway and it's giving players plenty of content to keep themselves busy with. One of the special research tasks in the Season of Legends is to take a snapshot of Landorus, which we have a full guide on that can be found at the link below.

But you might be wondering what exactly is a Landorus in Pokemon GO? We've put together everything you need to know about the Landorus Pokemon and how you can complete the Special Research task. But if you already know what a Landorus is, check out the snapshot guide for a detailed breakdown of the task.

Season of Legends Event

The first event of the latest Pokemon GO seasons began on March 9, 2021, and is called 'Searching for Legends'. The event contains a lot of wild Pokemon to be caught, including Baltoy, Drilbur, Nosepass and more!

There are various research tasks and rotating raids for players to sink their teeth into, but one of the most difficult ones is a Special Research Task that requires players to Take A Snapshot of Landorus, Tornadus, and Thundurus. These are known as the Forces of Nature trio.

What Is a Landorus In Pokemon GO

Landorus is a dual-type ground and flying legendary Pokemon that was first introduced in generation five. Landorus isn't known to evolve into another Pokemon but does have a secondary forme known as Therian Forme, while the original Landorus is known as Incarnate Forme.

Whilst Landorus is in his Incarnate Forme, he resembles a muscular human that could be compared to a genie.

You can check out an image of Landorus below so you know exactly what you're looking for!

How To Get a Landorus and Complete The Task

So, now you know what a Landorus is and what it looks like, how do you get one? Well, unlike Tornadus and (soon) Thundurus, Landorus isn't currently included in raids, so it could be a bit tricky to get your hands on him.

Until March 11 (8am local time), players can obtain Tornadus through raids or through GO Battle League Rewards. Then from March 11, Tornadus will be rotated out of raids and Thundurus will be placed in instead.

Unfortunately, you can't obtain Landorus quite as easily, as he's out of the raids. If you don't already have one, we recommend trading with another trainer to acquire Landorus.

Once you've got your hands on a Landorus, to complete the task you'll need to take a snapshot of all three Forces of Nature Pokemon.

You can find our full DualShockers guide to completing the task at the link below.
