Apex Legends Shadow Royale Mode Explained

As part of the ongoing Monsters Within Halloween Event, Respawn Entertainment will be bringing back the popular Shadow Royale mode for one week only.

The developers claim that Shadow Royale is intended to be a "darker" version of the Apex games, and is overseen by the equally horrifying Revenant.

In Shadow Royale, all slain Legends will respawn in the form of a 'Shadow'. Whilst you are in this form, you'll be able to enact revenge, protect your teammates, and terrorize the enemy.

Players who are turned into 'Shadows' have unlimited lives, and you'll only be completely eliminated when your whole team has been turned into shadows.

Shadows are able to wall-run, double jump, climb higher, and smash through doors. They are also unable to use weapons, but do have much quicker mobility than the normal player.
