Developer Giant Sparrow took many by surprise with the touching and heartfelt What Remains of Edith Finch, and now those that have yet to experience the acclaimed indie title (or want a tangible version of the game to hold onto) will be getting a physical release and more to look forward to next year.
Retailer iam8bit has announced that a physical release for What Remains of Edith Finch will arrive in early January exclusively for the PS4 edition of the game. Specifically, the physical version of the game will retail for $29.99, and in addition to the game also includes reversible cover art and will be region-free to all PS4 owners worldwide.
In addition to the physical release of the game, iam8bit also announced that a vinyl release for the game’s soundtrack will be available in Q2 2018 that features the full score by composer Jeff Russo (who also scored the acclaimed FX series Fargo and Legion, and HBO’s The Night Of). The soundtrack will come on a single vinyl LP with exclusive artwork by Giant Sparrow 2D artist Holly Rothrock.
The vinyl edition will retail for $28.99, and also includes a free digital copy of the score that players will receive immediately upon their purchase. Pre-orders for both the physical version of the game and the soundtrack are now open at iam8bit.
What Remains of Edith Finch is available now for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
