Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba the Hinokami Chronicles is one of the biggest anime games releases of the year, having already reached one million copies sold two weeks after release, now the game is receiving its first DLC. Be sure to read our review to learn more on the game itself.

Demon Slayer Hinokami Chronicles will be getting its first DLC characters on November 3, 2021. The characters are Rui from the spider mountain arc, and Akaza, the famous Upper-Rank villain voiced by Akira Ishida, who first appeared at the end of the Mugen Train arc.

When is Demon Slayer The Hinokami Chornicles DLC Pack 1 releasing?

According to the official Twitter account for Demon Slayer The Hinokami Chronicles, the update will be available in the evening PST, which means around 6 PM PST / 9 PM EST. The DLC will be available for free for all players on all platforms: PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Steam.

How many DLCs are there in total?

CyberConnect2 and Sega announced three DLC packs. Each pack has two new playable Demon characters. This means there are still four free DLC characters coming to Demon Slayer Hinokami Chronicles.

Hinokami Chronicles was released simultaneously with Season 2 of the Demon Slayer anime, which is currently readapting the Mugen Train movie. It's a new cut with new scenes from Studio Ufotable.

Season 2 Entertainment District Arc is meanwhile scheduled to start in December 2021. Keep in mind the Demon Slayer original manga by Koyoharu Gotouge already ended in late 2020.
