Why Was The Next Split Delayed?

Apex Legends has recently been plagued with ongoing server issues, with many players around the world not even being able to get into a match of the popular Battle Royale game.

The Apex developers, Respawn Entertainment, have been working tirelessly to resolve the issue, whilst also keeping fans up to date on their official Twitter account.

One of the most recent updates on the server issues was released on September 17th when Respawn said the following:

"Despite improvements today, we're still seeing roughly three times the normal rate of disconnect errors in Apex Legends, and a full return to normal may take until our next planned patch on Sept 22.

We'll extend the current ranked split by one week—that update will go live Monday."

So, due to the lengthy server issues that have been affecting the game, the first Apex Legends Ranked Split has been delayed to a new date of September 28th in order to keep things fair for those who have not been able to play due to the ongoing issues.
