Genshin Impact developer HoYoverse (previously miHoYo) has finally announced a date regarding when the Serenitea Pot Edit function’s maintenance will be ending, we have all the details below.
The Never-Ending Serenitea Pot Maintenance will be Over Soon (May 19 Update)
HoYoverse announced on May 19 that the Serenitea Pot Placement Function maintenance will be ending with the release of Version 2.7 on May 31. We all thought that the Spices From The West event would logically mark the end of the maintenance, but it didn’t. Sparking confusion among fans and bewilderment at HoYoverse’s decision to launch the event in the game’s current state, as older players can’t farm Friendship with the event, and newer players who didn’t unlock the Pot yet can’t play the event at all. In any case, our original story can still be found below.
What Happened to the Pot?
With the release of Genshin Impact 2.6 on March 30, 2022, HoYoverse blocked the edit function inside the Serenitea Pot for maintenance. The Serenitea Pot is Genshin Impact‘s Housing system, where you can invite your friends to hang out. Right now because HoYoverse put it into maintenance, you cannot place new furnishings or characters, or remove anything. However it is still possible to visit your pot or other players’ and hang out together. You can still use all the functions of the Serenitea Pot besides editing it.
Genshin Impact Serenitea Pot Maintenance Ending Schedule Revealed
The maintenance will end on May 14, 2022 as HoYoverse announced on May 5, 2022, that the new event Spices From The West event will start on May 14, and the event wouldn’t be able to start if the Serenitea Pot feature was still under maintenance. Meaning the maintenance will be lifted then.
HoYoverse developers are currently facing a dire situation as well as all of Shanghai as the city is under strict Covid lockdown for over a month now. This heavily impacted game developers including Genshin Impact‘s, and Version 2.7 has been indefinitely delayed. It’s highly likely this is also the reason why the Serenitea Pot maintenance took so long to be resolved. Players on Twitter have been most notably sharing memes about it regarding Ayato and how we can’t place him in the pot, or how maintenance should keep going forever so we keep getting free rewards each week with the Adeptal Energy.
Genshin Impact Version 2.6 launched on March 30, adding Kamisato Ayato as a playable character and The Chasm as a new area. Are you happy the pots are coming back? Tell me in the comments below!
