White Knight Chronicles Is Still Forthcoming

White Knight Chronicles came out in Japan last December, but we still have yet to hear a solid release date for this PS3 exclusive in North America or Europe.  To be honest, this was one of my most anticipated games…a year ago.  Now it tends to be forgotten about until a gaming convention comes along once every couple months and a new trailer is released.  Dear Sony: Some more information, please!

The story of WKC revolves around a young man named Leonard.  While saving a princess, he finds a unique suit of armor, puts it on and is transformed into the White Knight – a powerful warrior with outstanding abilities.  While the story has a preset main protagonist, there is character creation in the game, and that leads into the multiplayer aspect.  Yes, you heard that right, multiplayer in a JRPG.  Go figure, right?

I’m used to waiting for Square-Enix titles, so this gorgeous-looking game, developed by Level 5 (Dark Cloud, Rogue Galaxy, Dragon Quest VIII) still has me drooling, even after all this time.  Here’s the GamesCom video to keep us going a little longer.  Hopefully some more info won’t take long to arrive.
