As of right now, all we have seen on the Xbox Series X is the black model that Microsoft has shown us. However, if history repeats itself, we would also be getting a white version either at launch or later down the road. A Reddit user has posted an image on the Xbox subreddit that might point in that direction.

The Reddit user u/Wolfy_Wizzardo posted an image of a white version of the new Xbox Series X controller. You can take a look for yourself below.

Now, this wouldn't be the most surprising thing in the world. We have always seen different colored versions of Xbox consoles since the Xbox 360 days. However, there is still no official word from Microsoft yet. So you can't take this as a confirmation.

The Lockhart version of the Xbox Series X (presumably named the Xbox Series S) has still yet to be confirmed by Microsoft despite being leaked and rumored for months now. It is possible that at launch the Series X will release in black and the Series S will release in white. This would line up with how the Xbox One X and Xbox One S first released.

Personally, I would love to see both versions of the console to launch with two color schemes.  It would give buyers the option to choose between the two. Since I have the black Xbox One X, I would probably go with the white version in the next generation.

Just last week, we got our first glimpse at some upcoming games coming to the console. We were shown about 8 minutes of gameplay of Halo Infinite, another glimpse at the horror title The Medium, the announcement of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, and a whole lot more. Plus, every game announced during the event would be coming to Xbox Game Pass.
