Who Is Scraptrap In FNAF: Security Breach?

To understand the lore behind the Five Nights at Freddy's series, it's vital to know about William Afton, who is more commonly known as 'Scraptrap'. Before he became the animatronic villain chasing down players throughout the series, William Afton was the co-founder of Fazbear Entertainment and a serial killer who is directly responsible for the plot of the series.

Fazbear Entertainment is the company that owns the pizza and entertainment venues that act as the locations for many of the Five Nights at Freddy's games.

William Afton's human form is never really seen in the series, aside from via a few small minigames. But upon his death, Afton's corpse is resurrected inside of a heavily damaged animatronic known as Springtrap, which first appeared in FNAF 3 and later went on to become 'Scraptrap' in Security Breach.

Afton also takes another form in Security Breach known as 'Burntrap', which is an optional boss for players to fight in the game.

Who Is Glitchtrap In FNAF: Security Breach?

Glitchtrap is an overarching antagonist in Security Breach that first appeared in FNAF: Help Wanted. According to the FNAF Wiki, Glitchtrap is likely a manifested version of William Afton, now in the form of a digital virus.

Originally a major character in FNAF: Help Wanted, Glitchtrap appears in passing in FNAF AR: Special Delivery, before appearing as a secret character in Security Breach.

Glitchtrap can also be seen in a secret ending in Security Breach, as the digital virus turns into a physical being that resembles both Springtrap and Scraptrap.

For more details on both Glitchtrap and Scraptrap, we recommend checking out the FNAF Wiki for the full lore.
