Who is Istaroth In Genshin Impact & Will It Be Playable?

In the latest Genshin Impact update, players were introduced to a new character, known as Istaroth. According to the lore, Istaroth is the God of Wind and Time and is one of the four shades of Primordial One. Unlike some of the other characters, Istaroth has a plethora of names by which she is known.

She is known as the God of Moments, God of Time, Master of Time, Ruler of Time, Kairos, the Thousand Winds of Time, Tokoyo Ookami, and the Undying Wind.

Istaroth was worshipped not only in Mondstadt but also in Enkanomiya before The Seven Archons came into power. Basically, Istaroth was the forerunner of the Archons. However, after the rise of the Archons, people no longer worship her, nor do they remember anything about her. In Enkanomiya, people still worshipped her, however, that subsided too after the move to Watatsumi Island and the arrival of Orobashi.

As usual, many players are wondering whether the character will be playable in the game in the near future. As of now, there is no information about the availability of it as a playable character.

However, considering the fact that we have heard about her in the game, there is a very good chance that miHoYo might be teasing it in the future. If you have been playing the game for a while, you might know that other characters were teased in a similar fashion as well.
