The third episode of Moon Knight took us to Egypt, where Marc Spector tries to find Arthur Harrow and the tomb of Ammit. In the episode, things turn on the violent side when Marc fights three of Arthur's men. However, something extraordinary happened during that fight, and many fans believe that it was at that point when Marc's third personality, Jake Lockley, took control.

Warning: This post contains spoilers for the latest episode of Moon Knight.

After arriving in Egypt, Marc starts looking for any information on Arthur's location. Thanks to the Scarab, Arthur gets closer to Ammit's tomb, but Marc is looking for a needle in a haystack. So, he confronts Arthur's men to find something useful, and one of those men is a kid.

During the second confrontation with those men, Marc gets hit in the head, making him unconscious. Then, he wakes up with a knife in his hand and sees two men lying dead on the ground. Marc is surprised to see this turn of events and wonders if Steven took control when he was unconscious. Marc asks Steven if he is the one who killed these people, but we all know that Steven isn't capable of doing such a violent act. So, it's evident that Marc's third personality, Jake Lockley took control of the body at that point.

Jake Lockley in Moon Knight Explained

In Marvel Comics, Moon Knight has three different personalities, the third one being Jake Lockley. In an interview with an Indian YouTube personality, Ashish Chanchlani, Oscar Isaac confirmed that he'll be playing "four possibly different aspects to this one character." We've already seen three personalities (If we consider Moon Knight a separate personality). So, there's space for one more personality, who could very well be Jake Lockley.

In the comics, Jake is a cab driver who is very good at blending in with dangerous people. Jake uses his skills and profession to gather intel that could be useful for the mercenary Marc Spector.

That said, if it's Jake Lockley who killed those two men, it's very much possible that the personality won't be similar to how he is in the comics. It wouldn't be surprising if MCU decided to make Jake the most violent personality of Moon Knight.

In the comics, Steven Grant is a rich man known for his intellect, but the MCU's version of Steven is shown as a scared and anxious guy who can't handle difficult situations independently. So, it's possible that the MCU is also taking a different approach for Jake Lockley.

We already know how Steven spent possibly years of his life without learning about Marc Spector. So, it's safe to say that both Steven and Marc are unaware of the existence of a third personality at this point in the show.
