Lady Thor In Thor: Love And Thunder: Character Explained

The real name for the lady Thor you saw in the new teaser is Jane Foster. She has made her appearance in previous Marvel movies, Thor, and Thor: The Dark World. Jane is also known by other names like AlL-Mother of Asgard, Goddess of Thunder, Lady Thor, and Mighty Thor.

Just like the backstory of most superheroes and villains, Jane's backstory is also a harsh one. At an early age, Jane lost her mother. Although her father took good care of her and raised her with love, she lost her father due to some heart complications.

Jane's first meeting with Thor happened when he hired her for his medical practice. He was disguised in the human form, living by the name Dr. Donald Blake. Later on, Thor aka Donald fell in love with Jane while she was unaware of his true identity. Jane was charmed by Thor, which made Donald wonder if she would love him in his human form or not.

Jane first gained Thor's powers when Thor himself lost the power to call for this hammer after fighting Nick Fury. His hammer Mjolnir was lying on the Moon, and Jane asked Heimdall to take her to Mjolnir's location. After picking up the hammer, she gained new powers, making her the Lady Thor. As she was already acquainted with Thor's powers, she quickly learned to use them. Natalie Portman is playing the role of Jane Foster aka Lady Thor in Thor: Love And Thunder.
