Master Chief, also known as John-117, is a fictional character from the Halo franchise. The character appears in the game, as well as in the Halo TV series. He is the main protagonist of the Halo franchise. Among all the UNSC naval commandos, John-117 is the most elite and most decorated officer, earning almost every important UNSC medal.

According to the available data, Master Chief is a muscular man with a height of 6 foot 10 inches, approximately 46 years of age, and a weight of 130 kgs. Right from childhood, John was raised and trained to be a commando. He mostly wears his specialized military combat suit, and he is hardly seen without his helmet.

Fans were not sure if Master Chief would reveal his face in the series or not. But to our surprise, he removes his helmet and asks Kwan Ha to shoot him in the head in order to gain her trust. In the videogame franchise, John's face was never revealed before the release of Halo 4.
