As promised before, 2K Games and Visual Concepts officially revealed the new NBA game today with a brief teaser, while introducing the NBA 2K22 cover athlete for different editions of the game.

The reveal trailer and the official website of the game do not include any mentions of a brand new feature in NBA 2K22, which probably means we should not expect any big progress in the new entry of the game compared to NBA 2K21.

That being said, the game has some surprises for the cover athlete this year. Let's have a look at the official cover for each edition of the game.

Who is the NBA 2K22 Cover Athlete

Standard and Cross-gen Editions:

Both Standard and Cross-gen editions of the game feature Luka Doncic as the cover athlete. The shining star of Dallas Mavericks spent an incredible season, though he couldn't lead his team to the Western Conference Semifinals after the defeat against Los Angeles Clippers.

75th Anniversary Edition:

As the highest-tier edition of the game, NBA 2K22 75th Anniversary Edition features Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Dirk Nowitzki, and Kevin Durant as cover athletes.

WNBA 25th Anniversary Edition:

For the first time ever, a WNBA player has been featured as Cover Athlete in an NBA 2K entry. Candace Parker, the elite Chicago Sky player, steals the show at the GameStop exclusive cover.
