Power is undoubtedly one of the most fascinating characters in Chainsaw Man.

Recently, Mappa Studio held a livestream event on the occasion of its 10th anniversary where it released a trailer for Chainsaw Man anime.

Fans who are already aware of the manga, were quite happy to know that the manga story will receive an anime version.

But if you are new to it and probably curious about the characters, especially Power who is one of the strange characters in the manga; here's everything you need to know about Power and her abilities.

Power In Chainsaw Man Manga

Power is a Blood Fiend who also works as a Public Safety Devil Hunter. She is part of Makima's special squad that specializes in hunting devils.

In the Chainsaw Man world, a Fiend is a devil that has taken over a person's corpse.

In the manga, Power is teamed up with Denji for patrolling and small-scale missions as devil hunters.

We recently saw her in the trailer for Chainsaw Man anime where she can be seen brandishing her Blood Hammer in an action sequence.

Power's Personality

Power's personality can be described as rude, deceiving, and greedy — typical of a devil who has no loyalty to humanity.  

Her actions are mostly selfish and she picks up a fight only when she has something to gain or is certain of her victory. This is why she never has any problems in running away from a fight where she is outmatched.

Power's abilities in Chainsaw Man Manga

Chainsaw Man creator, Fujimoto has stated in an interview that Power's personality was inspired by Walter Sobchak from The Big Lebowski.

Since Power is a devil in the manga who has taken control of a human body, she has enhanced physical and supernatural powers such as:

Physical Abilities:

Enhanced Speed: It grants her quick moves as a fighter

Enhanced Smell: With a keen sense of smell, she can recognize the scent of blood from a distance

Supernatural Abilities:

Blood Manipulation: This ability allows her to freely manipulate the blood in her body to form weapons such as Blood Hammer, Blood Spear, Thousand Tera Blood Rain — a shower of swords and spears made of blood.

In addition to this, Power can even manipulate other people's blood by touching them directly. For instance, she can prevent a body from bleeding out or distort its regenerative abilities by infusing her own blood.

Blood Transfer: She can save life by transfering her blood and life energy to someone.

Blood Consumption: Being a fiend, Power can heal herself by consuming blood.

Power Enhancement: By drinking a lot of blood or consuming a stronger devil's blood, Power can boost her speed, strength, durability, and blood manipulation abilities dramatically.

Contract Creation: As a devil, she can create contracts with humans just like Denji has with his dog devil Pochita.
