Rishia Ivyred: The Rising Of The Shield Hero Character Explained
To start with, Rishia Ivyred is a 17-year-old girl with green eyes and hair. She is a projectile hero and used to be the follower of the Bow Hero. But because Rishia was weak and not much help to the Bow Hero, he expelled her from his party. Then, Shield Hero, Naofumi, steps up and offers her to join his party. In the first episode of the second season, Raphtaila offers her to become the slave of the Shield Hero, to which she happily agrees.
Naofumi identifies Rishia's worth after she uses her brain to assist him in defeating the heroes from the other world. She tosses off the barrel full of lucor fruit, which makes Naofumi's enemies week. Later in the series, Rishia becomes even stronger and helps to win the fight against the Book Hero, a hero from Glass's world.

Rishia has seen hardships since childhood. She belonged to a poor family and had to drop her studies due to the financial crisis. Rishia was forcibly taken by the nobleman from her parents. But later she was rescued by the Bow Hero and joined her party to serve him. Despite knowing how to use magic, her capabilities were unnoticed, and she used to do the basic chores for the party, like bringing food, water, and supplies.
