Ume In Demon Slayer: Daki's Real Name

After losing the fight, Daki and Gyutaro squabble and blame each other for their defeat. Daki calls Gyutaro ugly while arguing and says that he can't be his real brother and the only good in him is that he is powerful. On the other hand, Gyutaro blames Daki for not handling the situation on her own and always being dependent on her.

Daki finally fades away, and Gyutaro addresses her as Ume instead of Daki. And then, he reveals that her sister's real name is Ume. Gyutaro recalls his past where he remembers that her sister was named Ume, a kind of disease that killed their mother. Neither Gyutaro nor Ume got any parental love; in fact, both of them were physically assaulted by their mother.

Despite acting like a spoiled sibling, Daki (Ume) has an immense love for her brother Gyutaro. After their death, Gyutaro tells Ume not to follow her and go in the direction of heaven. But she instead chose to go with her brother in the hell and make him remember his promise of always living together.
