Are GTA Online Servers Down Today? (November 12)
Yes, it appears that Grand Theft Auto: Online, and Red Dead Online are both having technical issues today (November 12) as the servers are indeed down. The issue is only present for PC users, as indicated on the official Rockstar Games Support Page.
Players are unable to access online features due to the Rockstar Games Launcher being down, which is required to access games such as GTA Online and Red Dead Online.
The good news is that Rockstar Games are working on the issue, as their support page stated "We thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue to work on restoring services for the Rockstar Games Launcher and supported titles".
It is then indicated that the following services are down for the Rockstar Games Launcher:
- Authentication
- Store
- Cloud Services
- Downloads
According to the official Rockstar Support Twitter account, the Launcher was taken offline for 'maintenance'. However, 14 hours later there are still no signs of services coming back online. It's currently unknown if this is how long maintenance was intended to last, or if there are issues going on behind the scenes.
