The launch of Season 17 in Destiny 2 was followed by introducing Solar 3.0, an overhaul to Solar subclasses that provides huge buffs in the form of Aspects and Fragments. However, it didn't take long for Bungie to remove the Ember of Benevolence Fragment from Destiny 2 due to performance issues.

Destiny 2 Season of the Haunted is now live, and it has added a bunch of new features, quests, and activities to the game that will keep players entertained for a while.

The introduction of a new update to the Solar subclass has probably been one of the surprising parts of the new season so far.

Simply put, Solar 3.0 is a huge buff for Sunbreaker Titan, Gunslinger Hunter, and Dawnblade Warlock subclasses. Solar 3.0 adds Aspects and Fragments to these subclasses, which enables players to benefit from powerful passive or active abilities.

Choosing each Aspect in Solar 3.0 will allow you to install a certain amount of Fragments, which further enhances the Aspect abilities and brings more beneficial functionalities.

Why Bungie Removed Ember of Benevolence from Destiny 2

Ember of Benevolence was one of the Fragments that was available through Solar 3.0 at launch, but

" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener nofollow">Bungie recently acknowledged that they had to remove the Fragment from the game until they could fix a bug with it. Apparently, the Fragment was not working as intended with other sources.

So, if you had already equipped Ember of Benevolence, your Fragment slot should be empty right now. You can either replace it with another Fragment or wait until the fix is finished.

Using Ember of Benevolence grants players increased grenade, melee, and class ability regeneration for a short duration in return for applying restoration, cure, or radiant to allies.

When We Can Expect Ember of Benevolence to Be Back

Fixing Ember of Benevolence will apparently need an update. Currently, Bungie is targeting June 7 as the date that they plan to bring Ember of Benevolence back to the game, however, plans could change.

Destiny 2 is now available for free on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Serie S, Stadia, and PC.
