The day fans have been waiting for has finally arrived, as Evil Dead: The Game launches for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. But it looks like the launch hasn't gone too smoothly as certain Xbox users have found the new title is not working.

Currently, the issue only appears to be affecting certain Xbox users around the world. Saber Interactive, the developers and publishers of Evil Dead: The Game, have issued a statement with the cause of the issue and when affected players will be able to jump in.

Why Is Evil Dead: The Game Not Working On Xbox?

According to the official statement by Saber Interactive, which can be found in the tweet below, the developers state that certain Xbox players will be unable to play Evil Dead: The Game due to a 'system error'. So, if you've gone to boot up Evil Dead: The Game on either Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S, just to find the game is not working, there's no need to panic.

The developers also went on to state that due to the ongoing issue, affected players will now have a new release time of 8AM PT / 11AM ET / 4PM BST.

Unfortunately, it seems as though there won't be a new patch deployed to fix the issue. Instead, if you've been affected by this issue on either Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S, it looks like you will need to wait until the aforementioned time to jump in.

Although certain Xbox users were flat out unable to play on launch, it wasn't smooth sailing for PlayStation and PC users either. A new patch was deployed for PlayStation 5 users shortly after launch after the platform was experiencing connectivity issues. Whilst PC users were unable to purchase the title on the Epic Games Store after a 'Page Not Found' error appeared for many.
