Why is There Confetti Falling in Pokemon Go Today?

Many players who tried playing the game today, might have noticed confetti in their games. This has made many of them wonder what is the exact reason for the same, and whether it is related to some event.

Well, the confetti is indeed related to an event, the Festival of Lights. It was a big event that was added to the game to celebrate Diwali, and the event was finally coming to an end. To mark the conclusion of the event, Niantic is treating fans with this small celebration. You will notice confetti falling from the sky until the event ends.

This will go on until Sunday, November 14, 2021, at 8:00 p.m. local time, after which the event concludes. It should be noted that there is no extra stuff that the confetti adds, it's just cosmetic in nature. That being said, it does add a nice little touch to mark the end of such a great event.
