The Wild Arms series is certainly a favorite among PlayStation and JRPG fans, and something might be moving about it, as teased on Twitter by the franchise’s creator Akifumi Kaneko, who talked about a mysterious meeting.

“So, feedback from the Wild Arms Meeting:

Participants were me, Naruke-san [Michiko Naruke, composer of the Wild Arms series], Sony Computer Entertainment Producer Motomura [Kentaro Motomura, Producer of Wild Arms 3 to 5] and everyone’s beloved Promoter Nishijima [Taku Nishijima, from Sony’s First Party Publishing Department].

During the evening we emphasized that “This year is the series 20th anniversary!”

Althought outside was cold, we surely were quite hot.”

Personally, I’m ready to play anything Wild Arms related. It’s one of my favorite JRPG series, and hopefully Sony will consider bringing it back in some form.

Of course, this should not be considered as a sign that Sony is working on a new Wild Arms game, but quite obviously the series hasn’t been forgotten.
