Remember Wild? There's a good chance you've probably forgotten about it by now if it was ever on your radar to begin with.

First revealed back at Gamescom in 2014, Wild was a PS4-exclusive title coming from Beyond Good and Evil creator Michel Ancel and Wild Sheep Studio. Nearly six years after being unveiled, though, news on Wild has been completely silent, leading many to think that the project is all but dead or canceled. Well, after a new development this weekend, that might not be the case after all.

On the official website for Wild Sheep Studio recently, new concept art for Wild has appeared, seeming to indicate that the development of the game isn't finished after all. In total, five new concept art images can be found with the subject of each picture varying. Three of the five art pieces are primarily focused on environments that may be found in Wild, while the other two highlight some various character models and an enormous bear.

At this point in time, it's hard to believe that if Wild is still set to release then it would be coming to the PS4. With the console's life cycle wrapping up later this year as the PS5 arrives, it seems more likely that the Sony-published title might be getting reworked for next-gen hardware if it's still set to launch. That's just conjecture on my own part, but it does seem to make a whole lot of sense.

Regardless of what these new concept art images might mean, it's good to know that Wild might not be dead after all. Whether or not Ancel is still involved with the project remains to be seen, but knowing that Wild might still one day see the light of day is a positive piece of news for sure. We'll keep you posted if anything else comes from Wild in the near future.
