Wild Rift fans, get excited - Patch 3.3 is well on its way with an exciting batch of updates to the game! The mobile adaptation of the ever-popular League of Legends has recently seen a smattering of buffs and brand-new splash art, but Patch 3.3 will be unlike those before it.

Not only expanding Wild Rift's roster with three additional champions, but the new patch will also officially introduce Elemental Rift as a game mode and the beginnings of Legendary Ranked. Here's everything that's set to come in Wild Rift Patch 3.3: Shining Bright!

New Champions in Wild Rift Patch 3.3

Executive Producer

Wild Rift Patch 3.3 - Kassadin

Three new champions from League of Legends are being added to Wild Rift. The Void Walker Kassadin shulks onto the Rift, and is the only ability power (AP) champion of the three announced. Kassadin is a melee mid-lane fighter who scales very well into the late game. With his Netherblade resetting on target kills and his powerful damage-dealing blink ultimate in the back pocket, Kassadin lives up to the moniker of anti-mage as he terrorises the Rift's AP carries.

Wild Rift Patch 3.3 - Samira

Also on the way is the Desert Rose Samira, a marksman for the duo lane. Her ability to balance both long-range and short-range attacks makes her a great pick for those who like to vary their playstyle. Her ultimate has steam-rolling capabilities, but must be stacked by using chained/basic attacks to activate it.

Wild Rift Patch 3.3 - Wild Rift

Lastly, Sion the Undead Juggernaut rampages onto the Wild Rift battlefield. A menace in the Baron lane, Sion has the ultra-powerful ability to come back after death. This allows players to wreak havoc as a zombie - though only momentarily.

Other New Content - Elemental Rift & Legendary Queue

Aside from new champions, Elemental Rift will be making its official appearance as a full game mode. A series of testing phases has led to its completion, and players will finally be able to take on the Elemental Drakes in a new way. This new game mode features maps that shift according to the Elemental Drake, keeping things exciting throughout the game.

The Ranked experience will get a major update with this patch with the introduction of Legendary Ranked. In season six, Riot will introduce this new solo ranked queue to give higher-ranked players a more difficult challenge. Only players ranked Diamond and above will be able to participate, making it one of the toughest modes out there. This queue also features six tiers to climb, giving players extra rewards to show off their victories.

Existing gameplay will also get a series of tweaks, summer-themed skins, and of course, a new Wild Pass, but more details will be released closer to the Patch's launch date.

Summer Event Brings Star Guardians To Wild Rift

Star Guardians make their first appearance in Wild Rift with this upcoming summer event! Players can earn star candies for unique rewards, as well as participate in a Redeemed Star Guardian event to complete missions for event tokens. These tokens can be traded in for additional rewards like Redeemed skins for Xayah and Rakan. Most exciting, this event features exclusive Star Guardian skins (sorry PC players). The following champions will get Star Guardian skins:

  • Ahri
  • Rakan
  • Xayah
  • Miss Fortune
  • Orianna
  • Senna
  • Seraphine

When Will It Be Released?

While Riot has yet to announce an official release time for this patch, they have confirmed that it will release on July 14th UTC. Players will be able to update Wild Rift in-game, or in their respective app stores. Devs haven't mentioned any needed maintenance downtime, so it's safe to assume that players will be able to get onto Rift right after updating.

We'll update with more information as more detailed patch notes are released. Until then, we'll just have to wait until next week to jump into the update! For now, excited fans can practice their skills on Wild Rift on mobile devices.
