The first season of Edens Zero finally came to an end with the release of episode 25 in Japan. Now, everyone in the community wonders if we'll get a season 2 of the fantastic anime series. Well, here's everything you need to know about it.

Edens Zero is a popular anime show based on a Japanese manga series of the same name. Written and illustrated by Hiro Mashima, the manga follows Shiki Granbell's adventures in a world full of robots, aliens, and humans.

J.C.Staff premiered the Edens Zero anime adaptation earlier this year in April on Nippon TV. Netflix, on the other hand, acquired rights to publish the series for the international audience. In Japan, the first season was released in two parts and had 25 episodes. However, Netflix released the first part with only 12 episodes and labeled it as a standalone season.

Edens Zero Director YÅ«ji Suzuki Passes Away

The broadcast of season 1's final episode (Ep 25) came with heartbreaking news. Sadly, the studio recently announced that the anime director YÅ«ji Suzuki passed away last month on September 9th. Suzuki passed away in a hospital in Tokyo; however, the announcement didn't state any cause of his death.

Is Edens Zero Season 2 Confirmed?

The official Twitter handle of Edens Zero officially stated in one of their tweets that "Shiki's adventures will continue." Besides that, the final episode of Season 1 ended on a cliffhanger, clearly setting up a path for a second season. So, it's for sure that we are getting a season 2 of Edens Zero. That being said, the studio didn't reveal any further information about the production of the upcoming season.

The entire staff of the studio is still in shock after learning that YÅ«ji Suzuki has passed away. So, it will be a while before we hear any word regarding Edens Zero's next season. Anyway, we'll definitely update you as soon as more information about the next season pops up.
