May 11, 2022

Evil Dead: The Game comes to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC later this week and fans are eager to know if the upcoming horror title will feature a single player mode for them to jump into.

Developed and published by Saber Interactive, Evil Dead: The Game will feature Bruce Campbell as the iconic character of Ash Williams, as well as Dana DeLorenzo and Ray Santiago as Kelly Maxwell and Pablo Simon Bolivar. The survival horror title will have a heavy emphasis on working together with friends, but many are eager to know if there will also be a single player element to the game.

Is Evil Dead: The Game Single Player?

Although Evil Dead: The Game will have a heavy focus on co-op and multiplayer, there will be a single player element to the game which means you will be able to play on your own with AI.

It’s important to note that there isn’t a single player campaign experience for players to jump into. However, there are reportedly a handful of single player missions for players to complete, which will allow players to dive deeper into the lore of Evil Dead: The Game.

The developers did specify on the Slasher Radio Podcast (via Bloody Disgusting) that this isn’t a campaign experience, and simply a handful of side missions to play. These missions will unlock some new characters and skins for players to use in-game, as well as some audio recordings known as ‘Knowby Recordings’, which give the player a further understanding of games lore.

Of course, the main way to play will be with a group of friends as Evil Dead: The Game has a heavy focus on co-op, but the whole game can be played with AI.
