Does the Nintendo Wii fit into Ubisoft's plans when it comes to the release of Just Dance 2022?

Ubisoft's Just Dance 2022 release date is just around the corner and this has people wondering if, as in previous years, the title would also be making its way to the good old Nintendo Wii.

If you are a die-hard Just Dance fan, you will already probably know that the game came to the Wii in 2009 as well as other platforms. Using the classic Wii remote, users got their groove on by emulating dance moves seen on the screen. But since then, times have changed with newer tech that allows players to use their phones and everything else in between to bust moves.

Now it looks like Just Dance is but a distant memory for the Nintendo Wii we all held so dear.

Can you play Just Dance 2022 on the Wii?

Unfortunately, Just Dance 2022 won't be coming to the Nintendo Wii. During the Ubisoft Forward event at E3 2021, Just Dance 2022 was shown off coupled with the various platforms it will be making its way to with the Wii being left off the list.

Even though the Wii sold over 100 million consoles and was a livingroom staple for many gamers, Ubisoft has decided to give the little while box the elbow in favour of the more modern consoles as, I'm guessing, it's just not popular enough to warrant production on the system.

Although it's certainly a sad moment for Wii fans who were looking forward to the game coming to the console, the good news is that Just Dance 2022 will be available on a huge host of systems that include PS4, PS5, Stadia, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on November 4, 2021.
