Atlus and Sega published on September 8 yet another trailer for Shin Megami Tensei V, and just like every trailer so far, it’s using English subtitles, with the original Japanese dub. As such, more and more fans are wondering if the next JRPG from Atlus will actually have an English dub.

The new SMT V trailer focuses on the protagonist and his symbiotic relationship with Aogami. They form the Nahobino when fused together, with the protagonist commanding Aogami, and Aogami vowing to protect him. The trailer also includes several gameplay sequences, including some battles.

However, the trailer does not feature an English dub. This is particularly weird consdereing today’s Nahobino trailer was specifically made for the English community and fans outside Japan: The Japanese side of Atlus did not publish a new trailer today.

Will Shin Megami Tensei V include an English dub version, is it Dual Audio with the Japanese dub?

The answer is yes, there will be an English dub, the thing is, this was confirmed in the first release date estimate trailer for the game. Only in the Nintendo UK version of the trailer. Back when Shin Megami Tensei III Remaster was revealed. This is why many fans missed it.

It’s also important to note Shin Megami Tensei III Remaster added a full Japanese dub with a new cast. And the game got fully dubbed in English too. So it makes sense from a business standpoint for the brand new entry on Switch, SMT V, to receive the same treatment.

Note that you can find the brand new trailer right below.

Shin Megami Tensei V will be available on November 11 in Japan and November 12, 2021 worldwide. Exclusively on Switch. You can check out our guide to preorder the game and the limited editions. Keep in mind the Japanese Atlustube channel is also releasing a new demon introduction video every day. They’re narrated by popular seiyuu Tomokazu Sugita, who voiced Raido in the SMT III remaster, and now voices the Raido-like new character named Shohei Yakumo.
