Earlier today, Capcom revealed a dozen new characters for the PS Vita version Street Fighter X Tekken. The odd thing about this is that they did not clarify whether or not the console versions of the game would see these new characters. A fan asked producer Yoshinori Ono what the deal was over Twitter, although Ono declined to answer.

Many speculate that the characters will be sold as DLC for the console versions of the game, although there aren't many reasons to believe this. I feel that there is no way such a huge amount of characters will be excluded from any individual version of the game. This isn't Pac-man and Mega Man we're discussing; these are legitimate characters.

We won't know for sure until Capcom loosens its lips. Street Fighter X Tekken will be available March 6th for PS3 and Xbox 360 and this Fall for PlayStation Vita.
