Today, Sony Interactive Entertainment released a new launch trailer to coincide with the release of the WipEout Omega Collection. The new video is only about thirty seconds long but gives fans a good look at what the remastered PS4 versions of each game look like.

For those unfamiliar, the WipEout Omega Collection is a combination of three different games from the WipEout franchise. The first is WipEout HD which was originally released in 2008 on the PS3. The next, WipEout HD Fury was a large expansion for WipEout HD that released the following year in 2009. The last game in the bundle, WipEout 2048, came to the PS Vita in 2012 and serves as the game in this bundle that most fans may have missed out on the first time around due to it being on the Sony handheld.

One of the main reasons that most fans purchase remastered games is because of the improved graphics that they boast. Sony said the following about the Omega Collection and its new visuals:

We have been able to take advantage of the power and memory bandwidth of PS4 to rework all textures in the game. Compared to the original games, textures are now clear when viewed up close: you can even read some of the small text on the ships for the first time. As well as a host of improved graphical effects we have also added in HDR which massively improves contrast to what was seen before.

We recently reviewed the WipEout Omega Collection here at DualShockers and gave the game a 7.5/10 which equates to a "good" on our scale. While we praised the game for its massive amount of content and the beautiful new graphics that it boasts, we did find it to be lacking in bonus content that returning fans of the franchise might enjoy. That said, if you're a massive WipEout fan then you will no doubt have a great time with the Omega Collection.

You can find the new launch trailer for the WipEout Omega Collection below. If you live in the North America region, you can also purchase the game right now $39.99. If you live in Europe, you will be able to pick it up tomorrow on June 7.
