Today, during Sony's PlayStation Experience Opening Celebration, a VR update was unveiled for WipEout: Omega Collection. It will be coming exclusively (of course), to PlayStation VR in Early 2018.

The reveal trailer shows us how the game will be played from the perspective of each vehicle's cockpit. It then goes on to confirm how this update will apply to all of the different tracks and modes from WipEout: Omega Collection. This update will also contain some of its own new ships and interiors for PlayStation VR players to use.

For those who don't know, the WipEout Omega Collection is a collection of three different games from the WipEout franchise: WipEout HDWipEout HD Fury, and WipEout 2048. This bundle is supposed to cater to those who missed out on the games upon their initial release or just want to see the games in glorious 4K on their PS4 Pro. Personally, I think it is really neat that this new VR perspective is being added to some classic titles, as it will give a new perspective to these old experiences.

You can check out the announcement trailer below. WipEout: Omega Collection is currently available on PS4, and this VR update will come to the game early next year. If you want to see DualShockers' thoughts on the game, you can check out our review.
