Wired Productions Launch New Announcement Trailer for Close to the Sun, Set to Arrive Next Year
Wired Productions announced Close to the Sun today and there looks to be a lot of climbing.
Today, Wired Productions announced that they’re going to be publishing Close to the Sun which is to be arriving sometime next year. The publisher initially teased the announcement earlier in the day and we’ve already learned of Storm in a Teacup’s upcoming title last year. Close to the Sun certainly looks a lot more action-packed than the publishers The Town of Light which raised over $10,000 for mental health awareness. It also looks like there are a lot fewer engines vrooming than Grip which launched back in November.
Close to the Sun is to be a dramatic first-person horror experience taking place at the end of the 19th century with the protagonist Rose, on board a mysterious ship. The young journalist is looking for her sister, but she ends up finding something else entirely.
The title has a focus on survival and plans to introduce players to problem-solving elements while facing various dangerous situations. An ally will be present allowing players to utilize teamwork methods to get through the ship while they explore with no weapons to keep them safe. You can have a look at what to expect from Closer to the Sun by having a look at the gallery below, showing off the art-deco themed ship with some advanced technology that sets the world into an alternate reality.
Also below is the announcement trailer that shows off gameplay and a bloke violently stabbing someone. We also get a brief look at an example of a puzzle that the player will need to solve in order to unlock a safe.
Close to the Sun will be available sometime in 2019.
Update: The confirmed consoles the title is due to launch on are PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
