October 4, 2017 is a going to go down in the history books. Why? Because it is officially the day that CD Projekt Red's The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt adds PS4 Pro support, which means 4K support.

What exactly the patch does is unclear, but the Polish developer does boast that it enables the game "to take advantage of the additional power offered" by Sony's souped-up console.  Further, it will add 4K resolution support to the base game and all of its additional content, as well as give a "slight boost to performance."

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, where it released back in May of 2015. Widely considered one of the best game's this generation, the action RPG added to its experience with two very meaty expansions: Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine.

In other recent and related news, a similar update for Xbox One X is expected to hit later this year. Further, be sure to keep an eye out for an official adult coloring book that is poised to release on November 1.

If you really want to feel the feels this hump-day, then you may want to watch this emotional trailer celebrating the series' recent 10 year anniversary. Just be prepared to cry a little. Or a lot, if you're me.
