Announced on the PlayStation blog, on July 24th the PlayStation minis will see the release of the game Wizorb for $3.99 and will be playable on the PS3, PSP, and eventually the PS Vita.

The game combines classic block breaking games with RPG elements, features a pixel art style, storyline, boss fights, and several worlds to explore. Players control the wizard Cyrus on  his quest to help citizens rebuild their home that was ravaged by monsters. The town can be explored, town folk can be interacted with, and there are opportunities for earning rewards that may prove useful.

Each small level is  filled with blocks and enemies that must be destroyed by the player using a ball and paddle, like Breakout. Players will have access to spells that can have an effect on how blocks are broken and enemies are defeated. The game will feature over 60 levels split into 5 different worlds, multiple endings, bonus levels, and more. Character animation is by Paul Robertson, animator behind Pirate Baby’s Cabana Battle Street Fight 2006, Kings of Power 4 Billion Percent, and Scott Pilgrim vs. The World.

Fans of block breaking games and a joy of leveling up, like yours truly, will want to keep an eye out for this game when it is released. Don’t forget to check out the trailer for the game below.
