When Super Smash Bros. for Wii U launched back in 2014, so did Nintendo's wildly popular amiibo figure line. New amiibo based on various franchises have continued to trickle out since 2014, and figures based on both new and returning characters in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate are on the horizon. The official Nintendo Versus Twitter account recently posted an amiibo-related tweet. The tweet, which you can see at the bottom of this post, showcases the Inking and Ridley amiibo unveiled in June, but also give us our first look at the Wolf amiibo and gives new information regarding pricing and the restocking of previously released amiibo.Obviously, this new Wolf figurine, which you can see to the left, is based on the Star Fox character's Super Smash Bros. Ultimate design and looks pretty badass. According to Nintendo, these new Wolf, Ridley, and Inking amiibo will release on December 7, the same day as Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and will cost $15.99, which is a few dollars higher than the typical amiibo price. The tweet also confirms that previously released Super Smash Bros. series amiibo will be re-released "later this year", and will still only cost $12.99. That being said, they didn't specify which ones would be restocked. There are still several Super Smash Bros. Ultimate amiibo figurines we have yet to see, like ones based on Daisy, Young Link, Pichu, Ice Climbers, Pokemon Trainer, and Snake. DualShockers will be sure to let you know when those figures are unveiled.Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will launch exclusively for Nintendo Switch on December 7, as will the Inking, Wolf, and Ridley amiibo. You can currently pre-order the game on Amazon.
