Wolfenstein, The Evil Within, and Dishonored Comics Announced to Accompany Bethesda’s New Titles
Bethesda and Titan Comics have announced a partnership to release comic book prequels to Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, The Evil Within 2, and Dishonored: Death of the Outsider.
E3 was just last week, and during its conference, Bethesda announced three major titles that are soon to be released: The Evil Within 2, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, and Dishonored 2’s DLC Death of the Outsider. Today, Titan Comics and Bethesda Softworks announced that alongside these titles, the two companies will be collaborating to release a series of comic books for each.
First up, there’s The Evil Within 2’s series. Fans may remember that back in 2015, Titan Comics published a prequel to the original survival horror title The Evil Within. Well, much like they did back then, Titan is back at the prequel train for sequel. In this comic book series, readers will find Detective Sebastian Castellanos still reeling from what went down at Beacon Mental Hospital, when he gets pulled into a new investigation surrounding a serial killer who has suddenly struck Krimson City.
Titan Comics’ The Evil Within Issue #1 was written by Ryan O’ Sullivan (Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War III, Turncoat) and illustrated by Damien Worm (The October Faction) and Szymon Kudranski (Spider-Man). It will release to stores and digital devices on September 6.
Then, we’ve got the comic series announced for Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, which will also be a prequel to the highly anticipated sequel. For this one, the minds of writer Dan Watters (Limbo, Assassin’s Creed: Uprising), and artists Piotr Kowalski (SEX, Dark Souls) and Ronilson Freire (The Mummy) take us on B.J. Blaskowicz’s Nazi-killing quest to ceasing the sinister efforts of Hans Hartmann. Titan Comics’ Wolfenstein Issue #1 will be released physically and digitally on September 13.
Lastly, the companies announced the production of Dishonored: The Peeress and the Price, which will consist of story content that will tie-in with the recently announced DLC. It will follow Emily Kaldwin as she returns to Dunwall with Corvo Altano. She soon makes enemies with politician Archibald Dufrane, and when news breaks of a new killer in the city, Emily mysteriously loses her powers…
Dishonored: The Peeress and the Price was written by Michael Moreci (Roche Limit) and illustrated by Andrea Olimpieri (Dishonored) and Mattia Iacono (Demone Dentro). Issue #1 will release physically and digitally on September 27.
If you’re interested in any of these titles and just can’t wait for the first issue to release, you should know they will be available in the upcoming July previews.
