Today Arc System Works announced that its upcoming visual novel World End Syndrome has a new release date in Japan.

The game was initially set to release on April 19th, but it was then delayed to the summer. Now we know exactly when in the summer it will release. It'll hit the local shelves on August 30th for PS4, PS Vita, and Nintendo Switch.

If you're not familiar with the title, it's a mystery/romance visual novel developed in collaboration between Arc System Works and ToyBox, featuring the character design by BlazBlue artist Yuki Kato. That's one of the elements that make it interesting since we're used to seeing Kato-san's art in a completely different kind of game.

If you want to see more about the game, you can check out a large batch of screenshots from a while ago, alongside the first trailer and more screenshots.

Of course, at least for the moment, a western release has not been announced. We'll have to wait and see if Arc System Works will decide to release this one in the west.
