World of Tanks Adds New Racing Mode

Wargaming today announced the addition of a new game mode for the companies free-to-play armored warfare game World of Tanks simply called Tank Rally. The new mode sets players on a deadly racing track full of jumps and explosions for a limited time from September 29th through October 12th.

Tank Rally mode pits teams of three against each other on a custom tailored version of the Port game map.  Players not only will be racing for first place, but will need to capture a control point and attempt to destroy their opponents along the way. Only one tank will be available in Tank Rally, the custom built M24 Chaffee Sport tank that will be given to all registered players for free.

A new in-game medal called “Racer 2014” and several combat missions will be made available for users to earn experience points and credits. Hopefully the game mode won’t be gone for too long, as Death Race with tanks sounds too good to not be a feature of a game.

Check out a fun trailer of what’s Tank Rally is like below and you can download and play World of Tanks for free on PC from Wargaming’s official website.
