We've very recently had an announcement for Blizzard's MMO World of Warcraft at this year's Blizzcon 2019 event. That announcement being the upcoming World of Warcraft: Shadowlands expansion. But what if you miss the earlier expansions from absolutely yonks ago? Thanks to this month being the official 15th anniversary of the game, you kind of can!

World of Warcraft is celebrating its 15th anniversary by allowing players to essentially travel back in time to complete limited time raids from previous expansion passes. The expansions specifically included are Burning Crusade, Wrath of the Lich King, and Cataclysm.

These raids will introduce three iconic bosses and can be found through their own wings by navigating to the Raid Finder. You'll need to ensure you have a minimum item level of 380 to be eligible to join the raid.

Those who complete all three wings will unlock an achievement titled, "Memories of Fel, Frost and Fire". Unlocking this will give the player the Obsidian Worldbreaker, a Black Dragonflight mount that is inspired by Deathwing.

World of Warcraft Anniversary 15th

That's not all though. During World of Warcraft's 15th-anniversary event, you can jump into the Korrak's Revenge battleground inspired by  Alterac Valley. If players take part in Korrak's Revenge and unlock the Alterac Valley of Olde achievement, they'll get two new mounts. One of those is the Stormpike Battle Ram if you're an Alliance player, and if you're Horde, you'll grab the Frostwolf Snarler.

As a further cause for celebration, players will get an anniversary gift. Those who log in to World of Warcraft during the anniversary event will get a bunch of gifts in the mail. These include a Lil' Nefarian battle pet, a celebration package that grants experience and reputation buffs throughout the event, a reusable firework that can only be used through the event, an item that teleports the player to the Caverns of Time, and "other in-game goodies."

For those wondering when the event begins. In America, the event is already live and running from November 5, until January 7, 2020. Europe will start today, November 6 until January 8, 2020. Asia will start November 7 until January 9, 2020.
