Activision Blizzard announced today its financial results for the second quarter of fiscal year 2014, and as usual they included data about the subscriber base of the MMORPG behemoth World of Warcraft.

According to the financial document, the game has dropped to 6.8 million in June, and while it still remain the pay to play MMORPG with the highest subscriber numbers, it lost 800,000 users  from May. Apparently the loss is mostly focused in the east.

The earnings call also mentioned the “assumption” that the Warlords of Draenor expansion will be released in Q4, meaning between two and five months from now. During the following earnings call Blizzard expressed hopes that the expansion will bring back then lost subscribers and then some.

He is also one of the few surviving fans of the flight simulator genre on Earth.
