A special live stream was also announced, featuring the seiyuu voicing the main characters and composer Kenji Kawai, seems we'll hear a release date there.

World Trigger Season 3 key visual with Yuma and Hyuse, director comments translated

World Trigger Season 3 will continue following Tamakoma Second. They will face off against stronger and stronger enemies in the B-Rank Rank Battles Arc. The new key visual for 3rd Season features team ace Yuma Kuga and Hyuse, who joined Tamakoma Second at the end of Season 2.

The key visual most notably has Yuma using his Spider Wire, and Hyuse using his Bagworm, back to back. Showcasing that in Season 3, the former enemies will fight together for the first time. Comments from World Trigger 3rd Season series director Morio Hatano were also published. We translated them below.

When is World Trigger Season 3 coming out? Announcement coming on August 15 live stream

The season will start airing in Japan and be simulcasted in the west sometime in October 2021. There is no specific day officially announced yet. It's very likely to be in early October as this is when the Fall 2021 anime season will start.

Moreover, a special live stream is coming this month. It will be held on Toei Animation's official YouTube on August 15, at 17:30 PM JST (4:30 AM EST). The stream will feature the following seiyuu:

  • Tomo Muranaka (who voices Yuma Kuga)
  • Yuki Kaji (Osamu Mikumo)
  • Nao Tamura (Chika Amatori)
  • Nobunaga Shimazaki (Hyuse)

Legendary anime composer Kenji Kawai, who handles the World Trigger OST, will also be present. The stream teased "a big announcement" meaning we should get an actual release date then.
