It's difficult to stand out in the zombie genre as there are simply some many titles on the market that it is often hard to distinguish them from one another. Luckily Saber Interactive's World War Z is making a name for itself with something of a more-is-better approach.

The latest trailer for World War Z shows hundreds of undead flooding the ravaged city streets. The Horde mode will have players fend off waves of zombies under immense pressure. The gameplay sees swarms of zombies closing in at quite a rapid rate, calling for fast thinking and accurate shooting to dispatch them before they get too close. Taking out those leading the charge will make the following zombies trip over the corpses. However, with hundreds of zombies on screen at any one time, players might want to take a more strategic approach when opening fire.

Along with regular zombies who will quickly clamber upon each other creating mounds of undead in order to reach higher ground, there are also other variations to take on in this third-person shooter. The trailer below shows bulky, heavily armored zombies in SWAT team attire rushing towards the player and zombies that leap through the air to attack their prey.

World War Z is due for release next year on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. Check out the Horde mode trailer below:
