Sleeper hit World War Z just launched a few months back but updates for the title continue to roll out frequently.

As of today, Saber Interactive and Focus Home Interactive have released a new update for World War Z entitled Six Skulls. This update, which is free for all owners of the game, adds a new difficulty mode called Extreme. This difficulty is now able to be played across all of the chapters that are currently available in World War Z and will provide the grandest challenge of them all. If you want to survive on Extreme, you'll have to rely closely on your friends an make sure that no ammo you might utilize is wasted.

If you're able to overcome the challenge that Extreme mode boasts in World War Z, you'll be rewarded with new gear that will show off your accomplishment to others. One of these rewards is the Wakizashi, a new melee weapon that is essentially a katana. For those who complete every chapter in the game on Extreme, you'll be able to net yourself an exclusive sniper rifle.

Lastly, Saber says it is in the process of pushing out what it is calling "The Big Update" for World War Z either towards the end of this month or in early August. This will bring with it a variety of new weapon variants, character skins, character accessories, and new weekly challenges that you can play with your pals. More information on this update and when it is releasing will be divulged in the future.
