The wait is over for Worms fans on the PlayStation; in Europe today at least. Finally dropping in 1080p on Sony's hardware we have the Armageddon themed title Worms 2: Armageddon which brings a slew of new weaponry to the table compared to the last console outing as well as an improved random level generator, new game modes such as race, forts, crazy crates, and more. There are even some exclusive Sony themed hats paying homage to Sackboy, MotorStorm, and Helghast. Even get a Lemmings hat! Ranked games with leader-boards are in the house (of course) as well as online just for fun, offline multi-player with pass the controller in addition to local 4 controller support, and a boat load of new voices and customizations.

A demo is now available in the European store with price for the full unlock at £11.99 (or €14.99) and this game is rated at PEGI 7+. DualShockers has reached out for an update on the possibility of an American release of Worms 2: Armageddon as well as Australian release and Steam release and will keep gamers informed of any such debuts. The classic franchise refuses to die as iteration after iteration storms our consoles, PCs, and even iPhones, see you in the killing fields! Hit the break for the release trailer and screen shot gallery.
