WWE 2K15 Adds New Wrestlers, Promises to Have a “More Polished Look” on Next-Gen Consoles
The annual game for all “wrasslin” enthusiast is upon us and 2K Sports has confirmed the first round of wrestlers for the upcoming WWE 2K15 game.
Bray Wyatt, John Cena, Hulk Hogan, Cesaro, Roman Reigns, Daniel Bryan, Naomi, Cameron and AJ Lee will be included.
Visual Concepts and Yukes have teamed up to promise a “more polished looking game” compared to previous installments. Bodies will be better proportioned; clothing and other textures will be improved under better lighting.
To accomplish this feat they are relying on the wonderful and improved technology that is motion capture. Concepts is capturing a variety of facial expressions so that wrestlers will express more realistic emotions in the ring. Hair, skin, faces, and ring gear will also be upgraded.
They are so committed to getting the action right that WWE sends their ring technicians to make sure everything is accurate when motion captures are being filmed.
2K15 will feature at least five times the animations of any previous WWE game, pacing will be similar to that of a real WWE event with matches having less of a free-for-all tone and commentary will be greatly improved.
WWE commentators Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler have recorded over 35 hours of new lines, “creating more natural conversation threads.”
WWE 2K15, will release October 28th for North America and October 31st internationally for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
