Take Two Interactive announced some big milestones earlier today in its earnings call to investors. Some of those were Grand Theft Auto V shipping over 80 million units. Not to be out shadowed, Mafia III has hit five million and NBA 2K17 eight million copies sold. One of the other 2K franchises, WWE 2K, opted for some news in the realm of a release window for its next game.As part of the earnings call, 2K announced that WWE 2K18 would release this fall. A follow-up announcement was made on Twitter as well. Last year's game, 2K17, had the largest roster ever for a wrestling game with 130 superstars. It was reviewed as the best wrestling game made so far, but it was not without its faults. The career mode could have been much longer, and move lists for created wrestlers were a bit on the slim side. If past practice is anything to go on with the franchise, we can bet WWE 2K18 will feature the same season pass and DLC packs they have with the past few games. The superstar count is another point of contention with the series as well as fans always seem to find that one character who got snubbed from the roster. Personally, there are two superstars to me who need to be in this year's game. One is Koko B. Ware, who was in the first ever episode of Monday Night Raw. The other is Junkyard Dog who was a fan favorite back in the 1980's. Neither have been in a game to date, and are two which would surely make older fans like myself happy. No word on platforms yet, but last year's game released on both PS3/PS4 and Xbox 360/Xbox One.
